Based on the Oscar- winning hit movie Priscilla Queen of The Desert (which I loved at the time and haven’t forgotten) this show does not disappoint.  We were fortunate enough to be given tickets on the opening night and the theatre was packed and atmosphere was electric. The cast and band received a standing ovation and we all left with a little spring in our step and humming the catchy tunes.

An incredibly talented all South African cast and live band appear in this fun, energetic show. It truly is uplifting and I am in awe of the talent and utter FABULOUSNESS of the show.

It is an inspiring and heart-warming story about three drag queens that hit the road and travel across the Australian outback in a pink bus to appear in a show in a casino. They stop at small towns on the way, meet some wonderful characters and develop meaningful friendships and connections.

Such a fun array of tracks includes my favourites; ♫ Don’t Leave Me This Way, ♫ I Will Survive, ♫ Shake Your Groove Thing and ♫ Go West.

And the costumes, you just can’t ignore them. They are fun, sparkling and flamboyant from cupcake inspired dresses to angels flying in the sky to towering headdresses and flowing frocks.

You can’t help but dance along, clap and cheer.

For a party atmosphere and a fun night out be sure to book your tickets and go.

The pink bus is making its premiere in South Africa! The show opened in Cape Town on 29th March (4 week run) and in Johannesburg on 30th April (8 week run).
